Real programmes. Testable biological insight.
Our technology has been applied to therapeutic target discovery, pathway analysis and biomarker research across multiple disease areas. Selected examples illustrate the questions addressed and the work performed.
Johnson & Johnson: target discovery collaborations
Intellomx publicly announced a collaboration with Janssen Research & Development in 2023 to evaluate potential targets in haematological cancers, followed by a Johnson & Johnson lung cancer target discovery collaboration announced in 2025.
These collaborations illustrate the application of our platform within pharmaceutical discovery research. Programme-specific findings are shared only where disclosure has been agreed.
Non-small cell lung cancer: pathway and target discovery
In work described in the Intellomx white paper, analysis of multiple RNA-sequencing datasets was used to reconstruct a RAS/MEKK-associated signalling network and identify candidate disease drivers. Experimental studies subsequently examined target relevance and activity of associated candidate molecules in cell-based systems.
Evidence stage: computational discovery with reported preclinical experimental evaluation.
Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis: disease-driver analysis
Analysis of human lung tissue datasets identified candidate drivers associated with fibrotic disease biology. The project illustrates how causal network methods can help rank targets in a complex, heterogeneous condition.
Evidence stage: computational target and pathway analysis.
Tuberculosis: biomarker discovery
Intellomx has investigated blood-based biomarker panels intended to distinguish active tuberculosis, latent infection and disease-free states. The work demonstrates the potential application of I³ beyond therapeutics to diagnostic discovery.
Evidence stage: biomarker discovery and development research; clinical performance and regulatory status require separate substantiation.
Explore the underlying science
Our white paper provides further explanation of the I³ methodology, workflows and case study examples. More detailed scientific data may be discussed with qualified potential collaborators where appropriate.
